First impressions count and that’s why business portraits are so important.
The idea is that you come across as you want to in your corporate headshot, whether it is professional, quirky, friendly or approachable…or maybe a mix of the lot! To get this out of you I coach you through the process and direct you on how to sit/hold yourself and even what to think about. I find this really helps my clients to relax as they don’t need to worry about feeling awkward or knowing how to pose. I take care of all of that.
For individual corporate headshots
I usually work in Windsor or at a private members club in Marylebone, London. I suggest a few changes of tops to give different 'looks'. An individual corporate headshot session will take around 45 minutes and you get to choose from a variety of images that I will put on an online password protected gallery. The focus of a business portrait like this is on expression and clothes, all of which we carefully curate. The background tends to be a collection of colours and textures which are important, but it is the 'feel' of the photo that makes the most impact.
For larger businesses wanting multiple corporate headshots, I go to your offices.
We agree a timetable for the staff’s business portraits and I provide instructions/what to expect to send out to everyone. In this way the time is efficiently used and everyone knows what to do as well as what is expected of them. It is my job to make the individuals feel at ease and to get the best photo of them possible.
Light is the most important element, and I will find the best location at or around the offices to create a choice of images for each person. Often the senior leadership team will require a wider selection of images, to be used in pitches, for PR or other marketing material and we simply schedule a longer timeslot to ensure we get the variety needed for them.
Mainly photographing in London, Berkshire, Surrey, and the South East of England, I do sometimes travel further afield when I'm the best photographer for the job.

Q: Do you do just Corporate Headshots?
I am happy to create profile pictures for business people as I believe they are a really essential aspect of presenting yourself in business. We would chat in advance and I usually suggest a variety of outfits ranging from the formal to the less formal to give several different looks and feel to the images. I offer a minimum of three professional headshots from one session which can then be used for different marketing platforms/materials.
Q: What is a good Corporate Headshot?
Great lighting and an appropriate background make a good corporate headshot. The subject's expression is crucial, as this gives the first impression of that person, so I coach you through how to pose and get you relaxed enough to create a range of expressions to choose from. Lastly, clothes need to be carefully considered as again this creates an impression of the person.
Q: What happens if I am ill and need to postpone the photo shoot?
For ill health, I am very happy to re-arrange, as we all get sick from time to time. You will have paid the fee in advance and there is no penalty for sickness! However, should you wish to cancel outright there are penalties, depending on the timescale, and this is all set out before you commit to the commission.
